Christ came specifically to save humanity.

2.2 Why Christ Became Human

“Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same…” — Hebrews 2:14

Christ became human in order to die for humanity and destroy the power of the devil.

2.3 Christ’s Death as a Ransom

“The Son of man came… to give his life a ransom for many.” — Matthew 20:28

His death was the central purpose of His mission.

2.4 Prophecy of His Suffering

“He was wounded for our transgressions…” — Isaiah 53:5

Christ suffered and died for human sin.

2.5 Christ Died for All

“He is the propitiation for our sins.” — 1 John 2:2

Conclusion (Section 2)

Christ’s death was necessary for human salvation. He became the “Lamb of God” who takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29). His sacrifice is the basis of all redemption.
