4. SAVED BY GRACE
4.1 Salvation Is by Grace
“The grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men.” — Titus 2:11
Salvation has always been by grace, not by works.
4.2 Old Testament Examples
Abraham was justified by faith (Romans 4:1–5)
Moses found grace (Exodus 34:6)
Noah was saved by faith (Hebrews 11:7)
4.3 Not by Works of Law
“A man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.” — Romans 3:28
4.4 Righteousness Through Christ
Christ is our righteousness:
“The LORD our righteousness” (Jeremiah 23:6)
“Made unto us wisdom and righteousness” (1 Corinthians 1:30)
4.5 Source of Justification
“Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.” — Romans 3:24
Justification comes from God through Christ’s sacrifice.
4.6 Purpose of Grace
Grace does not excuse sin but empowers obedience:
“Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid.” — Romans 3:31
Conclusion (Section 4)
We are saved by grace for good works (Ephesians 2:8–10). Obedience is the fruit of salvation, not the means of earning it.
